Orquestra Sinfónica Juvenil (OSJ): Founded in 1973, the Orquestra Sinfónica Juvenil (OSJ) is recognised as a fundamental institution in the music and educational landscape. As the only youth orchestra in Portugal with permanent activity, it plays a crucial role in the training of young musicians, with a perspective on high-level refinement and professionalization. In its more than 50 years of existence, OSJ has received and trained many of the current instrumentalists in national orchestras, encouraged and introduced many young soloists to the public, and extended its influence in support of musical culture throughout the country, contributing to the creation of new audiences.
